IT’S ALL FUN AND GAMES

It’s All Fun and Games

Joel Wolf

What could be more fun than a Chanukah game night? Here are my family’s top picks for games that will entertain your whole crew – and a cool photo printer so you can capture those memories forever.

Birdie Golf

Age range: All ages

This new take on the classic golf game adds elements of badminton to create an action-packed game all ages will enjoy. Includes 2 clubs, 1 flag, 4 birdies, and 1 caddy pack.

Review: My son loved this product because it’s a very sporty game. It combines golf with birdie ball. One good thing about this product is that you can play it indoors, if you have the space. It’s better suited for outdoor fun, but in these times when one cannot go out (if you live in a city), it’s a great option! We gave this product three and a half stars for it fun, outdoor and creative values!

SET Game

Age range: All ages

Race to find as many SETs as you can — the player with the most SETs at the end of the game wins! Play SET solo, or with as many people as you can fit around the table! It’s triple matching mania that anybody can play, but nobody can stop! SET, although made as a game of fun, has a ton of educational value.

Review: We have played this every weekend since we got it and cannot put it down. This game is great for younger kids because they must match numbers, color, shapes, and shading. It’s also fun for adults because it makes you sometimes think-out-of-box to find a match. Since there are so many different possibilities, this game can go on and on for hours  without leaving you bored. My kids, my wife, and I all love this game. We gave this product four stars due to its fun, creative, entertaining, and educational values!

Door Pong

Age range: All ages

Attach the clamp to the top of any doorway, turn the dial to adjust the length of the string, and then serve up hours of active fun. Your goal is to hit the ball back to your opponent every time without missing.

Rating: We love this product because it’s hours of fun, even if you have to play by yourself. This is ping pong without the table, which means more room to run around. We gave this product 4 stars for its creative, fun, and sports values.

Ribbon Ninja

Age range: 6 to 12 years

Each player has three colorful ribbons attached to their wristband. The rules are simple: Snatch your opponents’ ribbons before they snatch yours. Lunge, grab, and dodge as quickly and cleverly as you can. The last ninja standing wins the game!

Rating: This is a fun game that kept us on our toes! We gave this game 3 and a half stars for its fun, imaginative, and competitive values.

Swingin’ Shoes

Age range:  6 to 12 years

Players take turns tossing the rubbery horseshoes to try and ring them onto the suspended pole and platforms. With every toss, the whole thing swings more and more. Do you have the skill to wrangle the most points and win?

Rating: This is the game of horseshoe on steroid! It’s as fun as horseshoe, but a little more challenging. Not only do you have to get it to connect, but you have to do it while it’s moving. This is a fun game because when you miss – and you will – everyone will laugh. We had so much fun playing this game. We give it 4 stars for its fun, challenging, and competitive values.

KiiPix Smartphone Picture Printer

Age range: All ages

Open your KiiPix, place your phone on top, push the button, and turn the crank. The picture rolls out and you have a forever memory to keep or share. The only hard part will be choosing which pictures you want to print!

Rating: We love this product! It’s easy to use, needs no batteries, and has no cords to plug in. The only drawback is that like most instant cameras, you need to keep buying film. There are 10 pictures to a pack, which can go pretty fast with kids. We definitely recommend watching the tutorials before printing. It makes it so much easier. It comes in cherry blossom, sky blue, and jet black, so there’s a color for everyone. Happy printing!
