Dear Readers,

Chanukah is approaching, a time that symbolizes hope and change for the better among the Jewish people and a time for miracles. The Maccabees triumphed against all odds in their time, defeating the mighty Greek army. Today, we hope for the same in Eretz Yisrael in the fight to overcome the enemy and bring our brothers and sisters home from captivity.

Throughout history, we’ve seen that salvation often comes from the most unexpected places. With so much happening in the world right now—like the arrival of a new president, the fall of Syria, and countless other shifting events—we never know where a yeshuah might come from.

On a local note, our community has much to be proud of. Recently, we hosted a sold-out JCON Real Estate networking event, bringing together professionals from the real estate and construction sectors. Seeing how these gatherings spark new business, forge new relationships, and create lasting opportunities is always amazing.

At the JCC, we’re thrilled to see our library thriving. Not only has membership grown, but we’ve also rolled out an exciting range of programs for kids and teens—including guitar and voice lessons, sewing classes, girls’ programs, and more. These activities are a wonderful way for young people to learn new skills while getting  involved in the community, so don’t forget to take sign up and join!

Warm regards,
Shea
