It has blossomed over the years into the Jewish community’s most highly anticipated real estate event and this year’s fourth annual JCON Real Estate Summit promises to be another blockbuster, following on the heels of the 2018 sold out conference that drew over 600 participants.
Jam packed with informative seminars, an impressive lineup of speakers, networking opportunities and speed mentors, JCON is the premier real estate conference in the greater New York area, drawing participants from the tri-state area and beyond. Taking place at the Dyker Beach Golf Course on Tuesday, July 9th from 5 to 10 PM, JCON is a project of the Jewish Community Council of Marine Park, Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs and Emergency Parnassa Initiative Networking, with this year’s lead sponsors including Meridian Capital, Cross River Bank and Saul N. Friedman & Co.
As in past years, the real estate summit will feature four concurrent seminars, followed by a keynote address presented by Meridian Capital CEO and chairman Ralph Herzka. The event will continue with a buffet dinner that will give participants an opportunity to enjoy a sumptuous dinner, network with their peers and take advantage of an on-site trade show and speed mentoring, one of the highlights of the conference.
“Every year we have multiple industry leaders joining us,” said JCCMP director Shea Rubenstein. “People can just walk up and strike up a conversation with them, giving them unfettered access to top talent in the business, pitching ideas, asking them questions or presenting themselves for a potential job opportunity.”
In addition to being a hit with attendees, the speed mentoring portion of last year’s program was so well received that Rubenstein noted that many of the mentors stayed well past closing time so that they could continue speaking with participants.
A new feature will be added to the successful JCON format, with a live WABC broadcast that will have JCON speakers and mentors being interviewed by Bottom Line Marketing Group’s founder and CEO Yitzchok Saftlas. As always, JCON’s goal is to promote entrepreneurship and to help small businesses grow, noted CHYE director Rabbi Yehoshua Werde.
“There are many people in the Jewish community whose educational experience did not prepare them for a career in business or real estate,” said Rabbi Werde. “We want to be that resource to give people a leg up and to really help each other succeed. At last year’s event we saw that people didn’t want to leave and we hope to be able to duplicate that on July 9th.”
In addition to the Real Estate Summit, JCON also runs an annual e-commerce expo in February. Looking ahead to the future, JCON will be adding several other major events to its annual calendar in order to reach an even wider audience.
“We are a brand that is all about assisting members of the Jewish community succeed,” explained Rubenstein. “Year after year we have seen each of our events grow and it is clear
that the need is there and we look forward to becoming bigger and better and to providing priceless opportunities for growth so that participants can provide for their families by acquiring the skills they need to get ahead.” For more information on the expo or to register for this sure to be sold out event, visit JCON online at attendjcon.com.
