It’s that time of the year again when we all get excited for family get togethers! What better way to spend Chanukah than with our loved ones engaging in family game night? We’ve reviewed some of the top games that are currently trending on the market and are excited to share with you what we think.  

Cubiq 

Ages 7+

Retails for $23.99

It seems like Smart Games likes making family-oriented games that are also very strategic. This game makes you think logically and build concentration skills and problem-solving abilities, among other skills. This game is portable, so you can take it everywhere. The point is simple: you have pieces that you have to put together by following 80 different puzzles. There are puzzles for all ages, from easy to very difficult levels. This is typically a one-person game, but you can play a competitive two-player version as well. We give this a four and a half- star rating for its fun, problem solving, thinking out of the box, and play values.   

Dragon Inferno 

Ages 7+ 

Retails for $23.99

This is another strategic game that will make you think out of the box. It’s an interactive two-player game where the goal is to build the biggest kingdom while blocking your opponent from building his. The one who constructs  the biggest kingdom at the end wins! We give this game a four–star rating for its creativity, strategy-building, fun, and play values.  

Sleeping Queens 

Ages 8+

Retails for $14.99

This is a game we play weekly in our house. My kids love it! As I find with most Gamewright games,  this is a very simple, yet competitive game. It could look like someone is about to win and then by the next move, the game can completely game. It’s a very strategic game, but it’s a lot of fun. It’s one your family will play for weeks, or maybe even months, after you buy it. We give it five stars for its fun, competitive, educational, and play values.  

Shifting Stones 

Ages 8+

This game is fun and simple. The rules are easy to learn, play, and teach (even for an eight-year-old). The point is to make the tiles on the board match your cards. Every time you match and pattern, you acquire points. The game ends when the first person reaches the maximum number of points, and the duration will vary depending on how many players participate. We give the game four stars for its creative, fun, and play values.  

Hi Lo Flip 

Ages 8+ 

Retails for $14.99

The object of this game is to earn the highest number of points by collecting cards and being the first to get rid of your cards in a round. We love this game since it’s very competitive. One second you can be in the lead, and by the next step, you could easily be losing! It’s a very simple and fun game. We give this a four-star rating for it’s fun, creative, and play values.

We give this product 5 stars for its fun, creative, play, and traveling values!!!!

There are over 100 series 3 including rare, super rare, and even ultra-rare miniatures to collect. We love these products because of many reasons. Firstly, they are fun to collect and there are so many of them. Next, they have lots of cute miniatures of products we buy everyday!!!! In the works, they have a set that looks like a grocery store where you can pretend to buy and sell some products.  We are always excited to see what I get next; my favorites are Hershey’s, Heinz, and cereal products. We give them 4 stars for its fun, creative, and collectible values. 

Toy Mini Brands Wave 2

Ages: 5+

Some of our favorites are Wowwee products, nickelodeon( TMNT, Dora. and SpongeBob) Zuru toys of course!!!! If you are looking for something small and cute to get as a gift for Chanukah, then these are the ones to buy. Also like the mini brands, they have a set that’s like a toy store, with shelves and shopping carts. It’s so cool to collect and play with. We give this series and wave four stats too for its fun, collectible, and play value. There are over 100 toy miniatures and accessories to collect including some rare glow in the dark and gold miniatures, plus super rare gold rose miniatures!!!!
