EDITORIAL

Dear Readers,

If there’s anything we learned in the past year, it’s that everything can change in a moment. We’ve seen that play out in some pretty bad ways, but we’ve also seen the good, the organizations and individuals who stepped up to help others cope with loss of loved ones, loss of income, and the challenges of navigating a new reality. Most importantly, we’ve seen resilience. We’ve learned to try to be happy and resume normal life under new circumstances. Now that Purim is almost here, we have the opportunity to focus on happiness and to strengthen our emunah. The Purim story reminds us of the terrible future that seemed to be our destiny until everything turned around in our favor in the blink of an eye. 2000 years later, we are still joyously remembering that miracle. Remember that: Hashem can turn everything around from one minute to the next, even when it seems as though all is lost.

We all go through hard times in life, and we must choose what to focus on. Even during the dark times, we can choose to see the positives while we hope and wait for better days. There is light at the end of the tunnel. In the spirit of Adar, let us be happy and hopeful that a brighter future awaits us this year.

Warm regards,

Shea
