Hello, Summer

And when all is said and done,
It’s been quite a school year.
It’s open, it’s closed, it’s all on Zoom,
It’s socially distanced, don’t fear.
Wear your mask, wear your smile, where’s your assignment?
I told you there would be a test!
A tutor would help, and so would some sleep,
Why do you look so distressed?
The bus driver’s waiting, just please sign this note,
I sent your lunch with your brother.
Its June, almost there, we’ve made it – woohoo!
I’m so relieved – and I’m just the mother.
