ECHOES

Masquerade

We thought that we knew everything

Last year when Purim came

But these last long months have proved us wrong

And nothing’s quite the same

Bet you didn’t think about it

Bet you never guessed

That you’d be donning masks each day

As part of getting dressed

But Purim’s back, and listen closely:

The die may have been cast

But now, like then, the tide can turn

As miracles unmask.
