 Chess Class Tournament Results
The chess class concluded with their highly anticipated final tournament. We are proud to announce that the first-place winner was Benyamin Korsinsky, followed by second-place winner Yitzchok Meyer, and third-place finisher Meyer Stanieski. The boys had a great time bonding while learning new strategic chess moves and showcasing their skills in an exciting final showdown. It was a fantastic way to celebrate all their hard work and progress over the course of the class.

Sewing Class Showcase
In the sewing class, the girls came away with valuable skills in stitching and patterns. They all concluded the class with a wintery keepsake to cherish, as their final project was a warm quilt. Each girl took pride in the quilt she created, reflecting the creativity and craftsmanship she developed over the course of the class. This hands-on experience taught practical skills and sparked a sense of accomplishment and personal growth among the participants.

Motzoei Shabbos Dance Party
The Motzoei Shabbos program finished with a bang as the girls danced the night away with DJ Shruch, who lit up the room with lights and beats at their final dance party. It was an energetic and fun-filled evening, with everyone dancing and celebrating the program’s success. The night was filled with laughter, joy, and an unforgettable sense of camaraderie, making it a perfect end to a great experience.

Voice Lessons with Avigail Fried

Girls also attended 10 weeks of voice lessons with Avigail Fried, who taught them breathing and singing techniques to take their talents to new levels. Over the course of the program, the girls gained confidence in their vocal abilities, learning to control their breath and project their voices in powerful new ways. They not only improved their singing techniques but also learned to express themselves with greater musicality and flair.

Kids Club Bookmarks Crafting Fun
The Kids Club met at the library at the end of January to decorate and personalize their own bookmarks. They had fun customizing their bookmarks with glitter, beads, and snowflake decals. Reading will indeed be FUNdamental, and these personalized bookmarks will be a great reminder of the creative and exciting afternoon spent together. This activity combined fun with a love for reading, sparking a sense of pride in each child’s unique creation.

QuickBooks/Bookkeeping Certification
Congratulations to our students who successfully completed our QuickBooks/Bookkeeping course. After six weeks of logging in online for Zoom classes, they are certified to use the accounting program for all their accounting and professional needs. This course provided valuable real-world skills, preparing participants to manage finances with greater efficiency and expertise. We’re proud of their dedication and achievement in earning this certification, which will undoubtedly serve them well in their careers.

Guitar Lessons Return
Back by popular demand, the JCCMP opened a new semester of guitar lessons with Richie. The classes are designed for all levels, offering an opportunity to learn new songs, refine technique, and develop a deeper understanding of music. With Richie’s expert instruction, students will have the chance to improve their skills and perhaps even unlock hidden talents as they strum their way through the new semester.

Girls Sunday Programming
February ushered in our second round of Girls Sunday Programming, where each week the girls meet at the JCCMP to enjoy an afternoon of Zumba with Penina Schwartz and art instruction with Fayge Beer. The program combines fitness and creativity, offering a fun and engaging way for girls to develop new skills, bond with friends, and express themselves through movement and art. The girls are looking forward to many more exciting sessions ahead as they grow both physically and artistically.
