Masks
I’m loving what I see
As you take off your mask.
That real face.
It’s the best one.
How come we all spend years
Plastering masks on,
And then even more years
Trying to scrape off every single one of those sticky layers of disguise?
Finally, hurts are healing,
So, masks are peeling.
You’re turning into
An unburied treasure.
