Chanukah is known to be the festival of lights and nowhere was that more apparent than at the Brooklyn’s Master Theater on Sunday, December 9th when 2,500 attendees of all ages and backgrounds packed the venue to experience two showings of a Chanukah Nissim concert. Shea Rubenstein, set the tone for the event by mesmerizing the audience with new songs off his upcoming album, Flying High. The main event of the show was rapping sensation Nissim Black who got the crowd off their seats and jumping to the beats of his captivating rhymes. The concert also featured a-Capella group Six 13, talented violinist Asher Laub, and new singing talent Dovid Pearlman. After the crowd was pumped with adrenaline from the variety of music, they were then treated to a variety show of talents, which included an amazing illuminating light show, born dancers, acrobats and comedy acts. Funnyman Mendy Pellen kept the audience laughing as he emceed the event. The concert, which was directed by Zvika Bornstein and produced by the JCC of Marine Park and Aid L’ Shalom, was to benefit adults and children suffering with cancer. Councilman Chaim Deutsch was also honored at the event by Shea Rubenstein of the JCCMP and the assistant director of the organization Avi Krakauer for all his continued support of the non for profit and all the services they provide for the community.
